Problem Statement
Social media platforms often fail to address and take down user reported scams. They also do not share this data with relevant authorities, hindering anti-scam efforts in Singapore. There has been a 28% increase in social media scams in 2024 and 83% of scam victims were contacted on Meta Platforms.
Proposed Solution

Scamhunt is trying to solve the problem by
Enabling easy reporting of suspicious posts
Providing AI-powered assessment of scam likelihood for reported posts
Equipping authorities with actionable data to combat online scams hold social media platforms accountable
Our MVP
A Telegram bot that enables Singaporeans to easily report scams by sharing links and screenshots for social media scam posts.
It then compiles this data into usable reports for authorities to make effective takedown requests.
